William C. Beall is the founding partner of Beall & Burkhardt. Since 1982 he has limited his practice to bankruptcy and related areas. Mr. Beall was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Reed College in 1977, and continued his education at Yale University, where he received a Juris Doctor degree in 1980. From 1980-1982 he clerked for the honorable Leland C. Nielsen, United States District Judge for the Southern District of California in San Diego. Mr. Beall then joined the firm Michaelson, Susi & Michaelson as an associate attorney, and practiced there until 1987, when he founded his own law practice. In 1992, Eric Burkhardt joined the firm and it has been known as Beall & Burkhardt since that time.
Mr. Beall’s practice spans the gamut of bankruptcy areas. He represents consumer and business debtors, creditors in such proceedings, and Trustees in bankruptcy. He represents clients in Chapter 11, 7 and 13 cases. In addition to his work as an advocate, Mr. Beall is a charter member of the Bankruptcy Mediation Panel, having been recognized in numerous years as both the most chosen mediator for the Northern Division and the mediator who has settled the most cases. Mr. Beall also serves as a mediator for both the Santa Barbara Superior Court Cadre Program and the Attorney Settlement Officer panel for the District Court for the Central District of California. Mr. Beall is licensed to practice before all Courts of the State of California, the District Courts for the Central, Southern, Northern and Eastern Districts of California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Beall has been active in both the legal and non-legal communities as well. He has served as President of the Central Coast Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, and currently represents the Central Coast as an attorney delegate to the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference. He is currently vice chairman of the Board of Directors of Santa Barbara County Federal Credit Union, and currently is president of the non-profit Elings Park Foundation. He has participated in many youth sports organizations, notably the American Youth Soccer Organization, in which he coached and refereed for many years.
Mr. Beall is married to Colleen Parent Beall, a recovering attorney and local realtor with Compass. They have two grown children, Nicole and Ryan.
